I’ve spent years navigating grants from every side, as an artist funding my own creative work, a program director who has secured and administered $350K+ in institutional funding, and a panelist evaluating grant applications and making funding decisions. In this two-hour workshop, I’ll demystify how the grant ecosystem actually works and share what I’ve learned about what funders and panelists are looking for, how applications are evaluated, how to frame your projects, what materials you need, and how to build a grant practice that works for you.

We’ll also talk honestly about rejection, staying organized, and keeping your creative momentum when the answer is no. My goal is to help you see grants not as a mysterious gatekeeping system, but as a tool you can learn to navigate, and a way to build real support for the work you want to make.
