Synopsis

 

After breaking into her Grandmother's long abandoned estate, Magda Schroeder, a bright rebellious college student, finds herself fleeing through the forest in terror, clutching a bleeding wound on her neck. Once at home, she discovers an unsettling transformation- fangs, a thirst for blood, and a mysterious delivery of cosmic objects. This includes a cryptic sundial, a vial of unknown red liquid, and a set of fake teeth to conceal her new condition in society. Something mysterious has harmed her, but is it also helping her?

As Magda grapples with her metamorphosis, she confides in her best friend Cecilia, revealing that her encounter at the estate led to a vampire attack. Soon, they learn the police have discovered human remains tied to Magda’s long-lost family, the Grosvanders, who disappeared under suspicious circumstances decades ago.

Meanwhile, a secret society of ancient vampires watches over Magda’s fate, setting a 29-day countdown to her execution day. They understand that Magda is the chosen one set to defeat Antonio, the leader of their banished hidden world. His demise will finally end his violent reign and allow the benevolent vampires to rise to power again.  They covertly strive to support Magda in defeating him. But first she must save herself from execution. As Magda struggles to maintain her humanity, she uncovers shocking clues about her family’s dark legacy, her connection to the vampires that bit her, and the deadly power struggle unfolding in her world.

Magda and Cecilia set out to understand the mysteries buried in the Grosvander estate, while her grandfather Lorenzo holds key knowledge that could change everything. But as Magda’s thirst intensifies and unseen enemies close in, she must decide to either turn her loved ones into vampires, or try to protect them from their monstrous lineage herself.
